Our Story
I’ve lived in the PNW my entire life, in the shadow of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Spokane. The Puget Sound, Bellingham Bay, and Federation Forest in my backyard. Who wouldn’t be inspired?
My name is Rosie and this is Dead Shed Oddities, a collection of my art that has been inspired by life and death in the PNW.
My soul belongs to the PNW. I was born and raised in Washington state. I went through the childhood phase (it wasn’t just a phase…) of being obsessed with Orcas. I spent afternoons riding bikes around Lummi Island with my family. Cedar is in my blood and Woods Coffee will always reign supreme.
I collect bones, mushrooms and whatever other treasures the forest provides. My logo for this site is based off the first “shed” I ever found. This shed set my addiction off and I have been obsessed with bones ever since.
I’m currently studying the art of taxidermy in addition to constantly growing and expanding my skills in other art forms.
I spend every evening watching a wild herd of mule deer wander through my field. I am building my own homestead farm with my husband on our 10 acres. We’re dog lovers. We are nerds who love D&D and anime. I am a crazy plant and pet mom who has filled every windowsill in our home with succulents. I’m still an emo and my playlist hasn’t changed since 2003. (When “Take This to Your Grave” was released.)
